Dr Ian Dunn Specialist Periodontist

Ian is a Specialist Periodontist, Senior Clinical Teacher and Teaching Lead in Periodontics at Liverpool University. He spends most of his week in Private practice where takes referrals for all aspects of periodontology and peri-implant problems.

Ian also lectures around the UK with Phil Ower and the PerioCourses team.

Ian is the British Society of Periodontology Honorary Editor and Webmaster and is also part of their Lecturing Faculty.  

Dr James Russell

James has been awarded the highly prestigious British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) Accreditation in recognition of excellence in cosmetic dentistry, the youngest dentist to achieve this.

James' work has been widely published in the dental press and he regularly lectures and instructs dentists on the art and science of cosmetic dentistry both in the UK and abroad, recently he has helped develop new techniques with the Inman Aligner to promote the provision of minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry.

His opinions and skills are heavily featured in magazines, on radio and since 2009 James has been the dental expert providing advice and treatment on Channel 4s highly popular, BAFTA winning, Embarrassing Bodies program.

James is a director of Straight Talk Seminars, the official providers of the Inman Aligner Certification course and UK clinical opinion leader for Ivoclar Vivadent's E.max system.

Dr John Moore

Dr John Moore is a private GDP from Plymouth in Devon who uses Cerec for all his cosmetic smile makeovers, as well as single and multiple unit restorative projects.

For eight years John has developed Cerec techniques and taught other dentists how to benefit from Digital dentistry and believes that Cerec is what makes his practice thrive financially, even in a very competitive and low income area.

A great fan of the recent Cerec software revolution and material developments, John feels that all cosmetic orientated practices can now learn high quality Cerec cosmetic techniques with ease, and benefit clinically and financially. His style is to teach practical advice and working techniques for busy practitioners who wish to embrace the advantages of digital dentistry.

John became an ISCD Cerec Trainer in Dubai in 2007 and with his brother Dr Paul Moore in Galway, Ireland has had articles published and spoken extensively on digital dentistry for practitioners.

Dr Greenwall is an international lecturer and an authority on tooth whitening and aesthetic dentistry as well as running a multidisciplinary private practice in London 

Dr Greenwall is an international lecturer and an authority on tooth whitening and aesthetic dentistry as well as running a multidisciplinary private practice in London where she specialises in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics. She is an immediate past Chairperson for the Alpha Omega Society 2012/13 and Editor-in-chief of the journal Aesthetic Dentistry Today.

Her first book, Bleaching Techniques in Restorative Dentistry, won the award for Best New Dental Book 2001. Linda lectures extensively in the UK and internationally on tooth bleaching, aesthetic dentistry, practice management and controversies surrounding tooth whitening. She has written many papers for dentistry journals. Her latest book Success Strategies for the Aesthetic Dental Practice has recently been published by Quintessence.

In 2008, Linda launched and is past chair of the British Dental Bleaching Society (BDBS), which aims to lobby for changes in the controversial bleaching legislation, and to educate dentists in tooth whitening. In 2011 she launched the Dental Wellness Trust, a charity aiming to raise dental awareness in less fortunate communities. The Dental Wellness trust promotes wellness through oral health through their innovative supervised brushing programmes and will be opening two dental clinics in the townships in 2014.

In June 2014, she co led a dental outreach programme with the Dental Wellness Trust which was held during the IADR Convention in Cape Town South Africa. This was a collaboration with the University of the Western Cape Dental School. During this time 280 children were treated by 15 international dentists attending the convention. 

Dr Mikael Zimmerman

Dr Mikael Zimmerman is one of the prominent professionals in quality assurance, hygiene and infection control in dentistry. He is also a well known international lecturer and consultant in both the dental and the medical field.

Dr Mikael Zimmerman is working within development and education concerning cross-infection, quality assurance and quality development in the dental field.

On several occasions, Dr Mikael Zimmerman has been an advisor to the Swedish Foreign Ministry on hygiene and infection control. He has also been an advisor to the Swedish Armed Forces in the development of the Medical Care System to be used by The Nordic Battle Group.

Dr Mikael Zimmerman is one of the founding members of AESIC - Association in Europe for Safety and Infection Control in Dentistry. He is also a member of the subgroup for dental professionals within Strama - the Swedish strategic programme against antibiotic resistance.

Dr Mike Milward

Mike qualified as a medical microbiologist before embarking on his dental career. His current role is that of Senior Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in Periodontology at the School of Dentistry, University of Birmingham.

After initially working in general dental practice, he returned to the School of Dentistry to undertake a number of junior hospital /teaching roles before being appointed as a full time clinical lecturer in Periodontology.

Since his appointment he has developed a profile in teaching and research, becoming a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and completed his PhD in 2010. He is actively involved with the British Society of Periodontology as both Honorary Treasurer and as a member of the Education Committee. His current role is that of Senior Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in Periodontology at the School of Dentistry, University of Birmingham.

Dr Nilesh R. Parmar

Dr Nilesh R. Parmar BDS MSc MSc was voted Best Young Dentist in the East of England in 2009 and runner up in 2010.

Dr Nilesh R. Parmar BDS MSc MSc was voted Best Young Dentist in the East of England in 2009 and runner up in 2010. He was short-listed at the Private Dentistry Awards in the category of Outstanding Individual 2011. Nilesh has masters degrees in Prosthetic Dentistry form the Eastman Dental Institute and a masters degree in Clinical Implantology from Kings College London.

Nilesh is one of the few dentists in the UK to have a degree from all three London Dental Schools and is currently studying for his 3rd MSc in Orthodontics. His main area of interest is in dental implants and CEREC CADCAM technology. Nilesh runs a successful 5 surgery practice close to London and is a visiting implant dentist to two central London practices.

Nilesh regularly speaks for national and international meetings including The Dentistry Show 2012, the Future Dentist Conference, the IDA in Jaipur and for Sirona in Germany. His direct and easy-going presentation technique makes him a sought after speaker in Europe.

Dr Peter Galgut

Ph.D., M.Phil., M.Sc., MRD. RCS., B.D.S., LDS. RCS., DGDP., RCS., MFHom(Dent), FHEA., CUEW. 

Peter Galgut qualified as a dentist in 1971, and gained an MSc with distinction in Periodontology at UCH in 1983.

Peter Galgut qualified as a dentist in 1971, and gained an MSc with distinction in Periodontology at UCH in 1983. Subsequently he obtained the MRD (Membership in Restorative Dentistry) and also the MFGDP from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was awarded an MPhil in acknowledgement of his research in biomaterials and wound healing and later a PhD for his thesis on the uses and abuses of statistics in Clinical Trials. In addition, he is a trained Homeopath and Acupuncturist, and he is an accredited Expert Witness.

In both 2010 and 2013, he was the winner of both of the most prestigious awards by the British Dental Health Foundation: Dentist of the Year (South) (Equivalent to England), and UK National Dentist of the Year.

Dr Peter Galgut is a practicing a Periodontist in North West London (England) and a World renowned Lecturer. He has published over 120 research papers and he has written a text book on Periodontics.
